Sense Enabled helps improve life and learning skills! My work uses gentle movement-based methods designed to help kids, teens, and adults with ADHD, autism, sensory processing issues, learning, anxiety, and neuro-motor challenges. Based on a fusion of HANDLE, the Safe Sound Protocol, and Reflex Integration these methods create more efficient body-to-brain connections that help improve learning, social, behavioral, and life skills. Our work together enables challenged individuals to build on small steps that grow into life-changing results!

Serving the greater Seattle/Eastside area since 2016, office packages and home programs are tailored to meet each individual's needs. My work dovetails well with other therapies including O.T., P.T., vision therapy, speech therapy, audio processing, and learning programs. When communication between the body the brain becomes more efficient, and the internal signals clearer success becomes more attainable and much less frustrating! Working together we address the sensory overload and challenges that many face in their daily environments.
I use gentle rhythmic movements and sound-based activities specifically designed to improve the connections between the body and the brain. While these may resemble yoga or children’s games. for those who are experiencing difficulties due to sensory processing issues, poor reflex integration, autism, ADHD, or neuromotor challenges, the effects can be profound. Employing the unique fusion of HANDLE, Reflex Integration, and Safe Sound Protocol methodologies I see lasting positive changes for my clients.
I offer community meetings, and mini workshops where parents, caregivers, or professionals can learn more about how those with autism, ADHD, sensory processing, poor reflex integration, behavior, or learning issues navigate their worlds. We are all truly unique and nowhere is this more evident than in the ways our brains process information! Every presentation includes practical applications for problem-solving puzzling behaviors or learning issues. These are discussed in a supportive, non-judgmental question-and-answer format. I welcome the opportunity to speak at private meetings or public forums with topics tailored to match your group’s particular concerns. We can meet in person, on Zoom or do a podcast. Learn just how wonderful crazy straws and blowpipes can be for you!

Meet the Perez reflex, the “core coordinator”, working with the abdominal muscles, intestinal tract, urinary/bowel systems and comes with a behavioral impact on our emotional and social well-being. Be it our physical or emotional well-being feeling grounded, in control and well balanced is a gift none of us take for granted. When one reflex impacts so many fundamental functions integration can make a huge change in the quality of someone’s life.
It has been a stressful year now followed by a stressful transition back out into the world and we all deal with stress in different ways which unfortunately includes children. This is where children really need adults to help see their struggles and help articulate what they may not yet have any words or concepts to describe. Think of their behavior, even posture, as communication to help decode what your child may be experiencing but unable to verbalize.
Families are struggling to make hard choices about learning environments for their children by sifting through conflicting and rapidly changing information. While the decision to continue remote learning or go back into the classroom is deeply personal for each family there are strategies to help navigate the way back in to the new normal.
