Helping sensory sensitive kids to be their best

Sense Enabled uses gentle movement based methods to help kids and teens better navigate the challenges in their worlds. These proven techniques give my clients improved brain to body connections enabling them to focus on social interactions, educational goals or physical challenges in new and healthier ways.

HANDLE Therapy

HANDLE is an approach that addresses the whole child extending out to the family system and other external influences.  With HANDLE behaviors become communication rather than symptoms to be masked or controlled. It is a systems based approach to the sensory processing issues of the upper brain. Through repetitive, rhythmic movement HANDLE brings improved function for sensory challenges.

Reflex Therapy

Reflexes are the automatic motor/muscle responses to sensory triggers activated from the lower brain. Reflex responses that are too strong or too weak can cause inefficiencies in the daily motions of living and add challenges to the process of learning. Reflex Integration works very well in support of other therapies by strengthening healthy responses between the brain and body.

sensory Motor systems

Developmental differences or challenges in the sensory system can trigger anxiety with hyper- vigilance, or a hypo -response of checking out. These differences can trigger motor and movement responses that look awkward, immature or defensive to others. In a multitude of ways sensory information can disrupt attention, energy, behavior and learning at any age but movement based therapy can help.
