SenseEnabled is Reopening

SenseEnabled is Reopening

Covid-19 isn’t gone yet but with the state declaring the beginning of Phase 2 for King and Snohomish counties I am happy to announce the reopening for both of my office locations starting June 29th. My hours from 9:00 to 6:00 on Tuesdays at Clear Speech in Everett and on Saturdays at Canyon Park in Bothell will remain the same.

Scheduling can now be done online at SenseEnabled.com or by contacting me by phone or email. While 24-hours notice before the cancellation of an session will always be appreciated I will now be waiving any short notice cancellation fees for the duration of our COVID challenge. So if you have even a hint of not feeling well please, be thoughtful and reschedule your session. I want everyone to stay healthy!

My changes to address our collective health & safety concerns
Arrival: Temperatures will be taken at the door with a touch-less thermometer, hands will be washed before a session begins and throughout, hand sanitizer will also be available.

Masks and gloves: I will be using a combination of masks, face shields and washable cloth gloves during our sessions. The preference is you and your child also wear masks as much as possible for the session. I can provide cloth masks and gloves for those who want to use them during our sessions.

Room: All hard surfaces will be wiped down with disinfectant between each client. All massage table linens and my clothing will be changed between each client. Each client will have their own basket of therapy toys for a session. Toys will be taken home and bleached before being used again.

Shared changes to address our safety.

Waiting rooms: At Clear Speech adults and siblings will no longer be able to use the waiting room or come into the therapy room during a session. Parents and siblings will be asked to wait in their cars. You can join us through a Zoom link which can also be recorded and sent to you. The waiting room is also not available at the Bothell Canyon Park office and I ask you remain in your car until the scheduled session time.

Maintaining 6 ft. distance: I think we can all acknowledge that there is no way to do this work together and maintain 6 ft of distance between us! While parents will be welcome into the therapy room at my Canyon Park office please be aware that my space there is small and maintaining a distance of 6 ft. at all times with multiple people in the room will be especially challenging. For this reason I ask that unless we have made prior arrangements only one person accompanies a client to the session. Parents are not allowed to attend the sessions at the Everett Clear Speech office and instead we will provide a Zoom meeting link for you to observe the session.

Toys: I will no longer be providing toys to play with outside of the therapy toys for our work together but they are important and needed. So I am allowing 3 to 4 toys or books to be brought from home to each session. I request no electronic toys or tablets because those are so challenging to disengage from when it’s time to work!

In all honesty given the nature of our work together I know there will be times when these changes will be problematic. If you feel the restrictions noted above will be too much for you or your child we can schedule a tele-therapy session instead. For some the combination of a monthly tele-therapy session with an office check-in every 3 months may be a more appropriate option.

I understand that we are all dealing with a mountain of change in the face of the current pandemic that requires more from each of us than ever before. Your flexibility and patience in helping me meet state expectations to keep everyone as healthy as possible are greatly appreciated.

I have missed your smiling faces & look forward to seeing everyone!
